Hypnosis with Hypno Tim
You already know what you want to change. The reason it has not stuck is that the pattern does not live in the part of you that knows things. That is the part I work with โ for sleep, habits, nerves, and the version of you that shows up in the rooms that matter. By video anywhere in the United States, or in person in Chicago.
Where to start
What people actually come in for
Seven starting points. Most people arrive for one of these and end up working on something adjacent โ which is normal, and part of why the screening call is free.
Sleep & Insomnia
You are exhausted and still wide awake at 2 a.m. The problem is almost never sleep โ it is winding down.
Read moreSmoking, Vaping & Drinking
Smoking, vaping, or drinking more than you meant to. One structured program, not an open-ended stack of sessions.
Read moreConfidence & Motivation
The gap between who you are on a good day and who you are in the room that matters is a pattern, not a flaw.
Read morePublic Speaking
You are over-prepared and still shaking. More preparation will not fix it, because preparation is not the problem.
Read moreStress & Overwhelm
Not a diagnosis โ a state. If you have started calling this level of tension normal, it does not have to be.
Read moreWeight & Eating Habits
No meal plans, no numbers, no before-and-after photos. Just the eating that happens on autopilot.
Read morePast Life Regression
Three unhurried hours, offered honestly as exploration and personal insight rather than as a claim about reality.

Nothing weird happens.
Hypnosis is a focused, deeply relaxed state โ the same one you drop into on a long drive, or in the last few pages of a good book, or twenty minutes into a movie you forgot you were watching. You have been there many times. The difference is that here, we do something useful with it.
You stay awake. You hear everything. You can stop at any moment, and you will remember most of it afterward. What changes is that the arguing, second-guessing, "yes but" layer relaxes โ and suggestion reaches the layer underneath, where the automatic behavior actually lives.
That is the whole trick. It is not magic and it is not mind control. It is a very old, very well-documented way of getting a message past the doorman.
- A free fifteen-minute screening call. What you want to change, what you have already tried, and my honest read on whether hypnosis is the right tool โ and whether I am the right person. Sometimes the answer is no.
- Your first appointment, about two hours. The discovery conversation and a full session together, in one sitting โ rather than paying twice to be asked the same questions on two different days.
- A recording that is yours. Made in your session, in your words, with the imagery that works for your brain. You keep it and you use it.
- Follow-ups, only as many as you need. Most people are done in three to five. I will tell you when I think you are finished.

Meditation, taught by somebody who does this all day
Weekly group sessions, private instruction, and the Blue Hour โ a ninety-minute guided beach meditation with a sound bath, which is exactly as good as it sounds. Plus corporate workshops โ on-site for Chicago teams, over video for everyone else โ for companies that have started describing burnout as a season.
Hypnosis and meditation are cousins, not twins: meditation trains attention over time, hypnosis uses a focused state to aim at something specific. Most of my clients end up doing both.
Take it with you

Every price is on the website
Most hypnotists make you call to find out what it costs. I think that is a strange way to start a relationship built on trust.

The obvious questions
Things everybody asks in the first five minutes
Like the ten minutes before you fall asleep, except you are awake and paying close attention. You hear everything. You remember most of it. You can stop whenever you want. Almost nobody feels "hypnotized" the way movies suggest โ most people finish their first session saying "was I even under?" and then notice something has changed.
No. This is the single most common worry and the answer is a flat no. Hypnosis is a state of focused attention, not a loss of control โ you keep your values, your judgment, and your ability to say no. Stage hypnosis works because the volunteers wanted to be up there. If a suggestion conflicts with who you are, your mind simply declines it.
For most habit and performance work, the first appointment plus two to four follow-ups. Smoking, vaping and drinking run as the Freedom Program โ four sessions over about six weeks. Past life regression is a single three-hour session. I will give you an honest estimate on the free screening call, and I would rather tell you hypnosis is the wrong tool than sell you a package.
No โ hypnosis is not a covered medical service, which is exactly the point of the scope-of-practice note at the bottom of this page. Every price is published on the pricing page so there are no surprises.
No, and I want to be unambiguous about it. I am a Certified Consulting Hypnotist, not a therapist, psychologist, or physician. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. I work on habits, focus, relaxation, motivation and personal growth with people who are functioning and want something to change. When someone needs licensed clinical care, I say so and refer out.

Online sessions by video anywhere in the United States, at the same rate as in person โ roughly half of my practice now works this way, and for sleep work in particular, doing it in the room you actually sleep in beats doing it in my chair. In person in Chicago, convenient to Lincoln Park, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Lakeview, River North and the Loop. The audio shop ships to a browser, so that part works everywhere.
